Another fantastic competition for our Women’s Artistic Squad, this time at the South West Classic Challenge North Championships, with our gymnasts competing against clubs from across the region.

CGGC had gymnasts competing at both Copper and Zinc Classic Challenge, taking on all four apparatus – Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor – with some brilliant performances, All-Around podium finishes and plenty of apparatus medals to celebrate.

Copper Classic Challenge

Ellie: 🥇 1st Vault, 🥈 2nd Floor

Olivia: 🥉 3rd Bars, 🥉 3rd Floor

Ellie finished 5th All-Around in her age group after four strong performances. Olivia finished 6th All-Around, with two apparatus podium finishes. Sophia also represented CGGC at Copper, finishing 6th All-Around in her age group, with a particularly strong 4th place on Vault and Floor.

Zinc Classic Challenge

There was plenty to celebrate at Zinc level, including a fantastic CGGC 1–2 All-Around finish in the 2018 age group!

Aishwarya: 🥇 1st All-Around, 🥈 2nd Vault, 🥈 2nd Bars, 🥈 2nd Beam, 🥉 3rd Floor

Autumn: 🥈 2nd All-Around, 🥇 1st Bars, 🥇 1st Beam

A brilliant competition from both girls, taking the top two All-Around positions between them.

Elianna-Joy: 🥈 2nd All-Around, 🥈 2nd Bars, 🥉 3rd Floor

Another fantastic All-Around podium for Elianna-Joy in the 2017 age group.

Sophie – Zinc: 🥈 2nd Floor

Sophie finished an excellent 4th All-Around, narrowly missing out on an All-Around medal. Molly also represented CGGC at Zinc, finishing 9th All-Around.

A huge well done to all of our gymnasts who represented CGGC. There were some brilliant individual performances across the day, from regional titles and All-Around podiums to apparatus medals and valuable competition experience.

A special shoutout to all of our coaches and judges, without whom these competitions simply wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for giving up your time and for all the work that goes on both at competitions and behind the scenes to support our gymnasts.

Congratulations Team CGGC!
