06/07/2025 - CGGC Club Championships

We had an incredible day at our recent Club Championship competition, with over 120 talented children taking to the floor and vault to showcase their gymnastics skills. The energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship displayed by every gymnast was truly inspiring. From our littlest competitors in Year R to our advanced performers in Year 6+, every child gave it their all – and we couldn’t be prouder!

The competition was divided into seven categories based on school year groups, with each group performing specially prepared routines. Our Year 6+ gymnasts had the exciting opportunity to create their own floor routines, allowing them to express their individual styles and strengths.

YEAR R

Our youngest gymnasts stole the show with their enthusiasm and confidence! For many of them, this was their first time performing in front of an audience, and they did brilliantly. Their routines focused on basic skills, coordination, and balance – all with big smiles and lots of heart.

YEAR 1

The Year 1 group built on their foundational skills with great focus and determination. Their routines included rolls, balances, and basic jumps, showing just how much they’ve learned. It was lovely to see their pride as they finished their routines with flair.

YEAR 2

Our Year 2 gymnasts showed great progress and growing confidence. Their routines included more complex sequences, and they approached the challenge with real energy. The teamwork and encouragement within the group was fantastic to see.

YEAR 3

Year 3 really turned up the energy with strong, dynamic routines. They performed with excellent technique and showed a growing understanding of performance and presentation. A great group full of potential!

YEAR 4

This group impressed us with their control and skill. Year 4 routines featured a variety of rolls, balances, and jumps – all performed with real polish. Their dedication in training really shone through on the day.

YEAR 5

Year 5 gymnasts brought both power and grace to their routines. With a clear step up in difficulty, they met the challenge head-on, performing confidently and with great control. It was clear just how much progress they’ve made this year.

YEAR 6+

Our most experienced recreational gymnasts had the exciting opportunity to create their own floor routines – and what a show they put on! From elegant jumps to impressive acrobatic skills, this group showcased their individual strengths with real creativity and passion. A brilliant way to end the day!
