CGGC Shine at the Heathrow International Aerobic Championships!

On Friday 23rd May, a talented group of CGGC gymnasts headed to the Heathrow International Aerobic Championships — an incredible event that brought together athletes from across the UK and beyond. For many of our younger gymnasts, it was their very first competition, and they absolutely rose to the occasion!

IAC Level 1: A Brilliant Debut!

First up were our younger IAC Level 1 groups, and they did the club proud. For most of these gymnasts, it was their first time stepping onto a competition floor — and they delivered fantastic performances full of energy and enthusiasm.

• ⭐️ 4th Place – Emilia, Esme, Jessica & Victoria

• ⭐️ 9th Place – Bethan, Daisy & Freya

You wouldn’t have guessed it was the first competition for some of them – they performed with confidence, big smiles, and fantastic teamwork!

IAC Level 4: Silver Success!

Next, our IAC Level 4 pairing took the floor with upgraded routines and a clear mission. Bethan and Xin You brought home a Silver medal, finishing just under 7 points from first place — a huge achievement and testament to their hard work.

RAC Youth Trios: Gold and Silver Domination

After claiming Gold and Silver at the Southern Regionals last month, our RAC Youth Trios were back — and they did not disappoint. In an incredibly tight competition, CGGC once again topped the podium twice!

• 🥇 1st Place – Anastasia, Helena & Isla

• 🥈 2nd Place – Matilda, Lili & Darcey

Just 0.05 points separated the two trios — an amazing result for both teams and a clear sign of CGGC’s strength in depth.

RAC Youth Group: A Golden Performance!

The final performance of the day was a special one. Combining our two winning trios, the RAC Youth Group took to the floor with a dazzling routine set to the musical ‘SIX’. After narrowly missing Gold at the Southern Region, the girls were hungry for a win — and they got it!

With a huge score of 13.250, they took 1st place, and their emotional reaction said it all. It was a well-deserved reward for months of hard work, teamwork, and determination.
