25/04/2026 - Southern Region Aerobic Championships (AER)
A fantastic competition for our Aerobic Squad at the Southern Region Aerobic Championships, with CGGC gymnasts competing across a huge range of categories, from our youngest Regional Aerobic gymnasts through to National Aerobic and Aerodance.
It was a brilliant opportunity for the team to put their routines out on the competition floor, with individuals, pairs, trios, groups and our Aerodance team all representing Cheltenham & Gloucester throughout the championships.
There was plenty to celebrate, with some fantastic performances and seven podium finishes across the competition!

Across the rest of the competition, there were plenty more performances to be proud of. Bethan finished 5th in Foundation Individual Woman, while Leilani competed in Pre-Foundation Individual Woman. Our National Development gymnasts Georgie and Emilia competed individually, with our pairs, trios and groups also taking to the floor throughout the day.
Our IAC gymnasts were out in force too. Erin, Harper, Lily & Kiara finished 6th at U10 Level 1, while Adrya, Indra & Mackenzie, Willow, Maya & Harriet, and Hannah, Elsie & Harper all represented CGGC across Levels 2–4.
At National level, Isla, Isabella, Lola, Darcey, Matilda, Imogen, Anastasia and Helena represented the club across individual, pair, trio and group routines, gaining more valuable competition experience against strong fields from across the region.
Our Aerodance team of Darcey, Matilda, Lola, Imogen, Isabella & Georgie also took to the floor, finishing 6th in the Youth Aerodance competition.
A huge well done to everyone who competed. With gymnasts representing CGGC across so many different levels and categories, there was plenty for the whole team to be proud of and lots of valuable experience gained for the competitions ahead.
A special shoutout to all of our coaches and judges, without whom these competitions simply wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for giving up your time and for all the work that goes on both at competitions and behind the scenes to support our gymnasts.
