28/09/2025 - SW Classic Challenge (WAG)

We’re so proud of Lily and Ayla, who represented Cheltenham & Gloucester Gymnastics Club at the South West Classic Challenge Championships. Both girls gave it their all and showed just how much hard work and dedication they’ve been putting in at training.

Lily had a brilliant competition, debuting new skills on all apparatus and performing a fantastic new floor routine with real confidence and style. All her effort paid off, finishing 11th in the whole region at Silver level – such a great result for her first time competing these new elements. Lots more to come from this talented young gymnast!

Ayla was on top form too, putting in solid performances across all apparatus to earn a brilliant total score of 44.300, placing 4th in her age group. She also shone on bars, taking home the silver medal for a beautiful routine. When all age groups were combined, Ayla finished 6th overall, which means she’s reserve to represent the South West at the Classic Challenge National Finals – an incredible achievement in a field of 45 gymnasts!
