30/05/2026 - English Championships (TUM)

A fantastic weekend for our Tumbling Squad at the English Tumbling Championships, the national finals for England and a chance for gymnasts to compete against some of the best tumblers from across the country.

The South West was represented by five CGGC gymnasts – Sophie, Hollie, Connor, Finn and Devonte – each having earned their place at the English Championships. It was a fantastic achievement to see our gymnasts representing both CGGC and the region on the national stage.

There was plenty to celebrate, including an incredible joint English title for Connor and Finn! Both boys finished with exactly the same overall score, meaning they shared the top spot in their category.

Our girls also put in some fantastic performances, with Sophie finishing an excellent 6th place and Hollie finishing 12th in the Silver Club 5 Women 13+ competition.  

Devonte also represented CGGC at the Championships, competing at Silver Regional 4 15+ and finishing 9th.

A huge well done to everyone who competed. Simply earning a place at the English Championships is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud of all five gymnasts for representing CGGC and the South West on the national stage.

A special shoutout to all of our coaches and judges, without whom these competitions simply wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for giving up your time and for all the work that goes on both at competitions and behind the scenes to support our gymnasts.
